The industry needs to consolidate and raise pricing together like the auto industry. If all charge more the the cost goes up like everything else. I think the first problem is the completely incompetent mechanics that fill most shops botching repairs so badly that people refuse to pay what quality work is worth. The double edged sword here is that to keep quality people you have to be able to pay them what they are worth.
