I thought this was a real NOT a Nice word move on their behalf, since they were fairly large player in the small targeted market I focus on with my business. I thought it was a real slap in the face to the regular biz customers that built their business. The majority of items I sell are quality items and most are made in USA, so the margins are low to begin with in my niche industry. I will be looking at some of the trade shows this coming Spring and hopefully will find a better place to source my items. Basically, what do you aim for when selecting a new product line when it comes to margins? In cases of products from top US and European brands, I will sell them for at least double of what I originally paid, regardless of the pricing of other sellers. They are usually limited editions so once others sell all their stock, the buyers will start ordering from me, ignoring my high markup.
